Youth's Role

Actually the government has several programs to reduce poverty. The government has focused to reduce the poverty since 2008, one of the programs are:

• Stabilize main needs.

• Improve the growth that stands for unfortunate people

• Increase the access of the people to the social service (ex: puskesmas)

• Increase the social protection system

• Facilitate a good infrastructure

• Free school (Wajib Belajar 9 tahun)

• Give a scholarship program to the poor student

Those programs are good to be implemented, but it’s not too effective and doesn't show a significant result in reducing the poverty. Not only the problems that come from its program but also we need a long period to see a significant result. Poverty is a thing that cannot be separated with government’s developing programs, but those programs should be supported by all society components in Indonesia, including Indonesian Youth. Youth have a big role and influencial as the next generation of the country. We don’t need to start it from a big thing, every little continuous step can be a big thing that give a big affect to reduce the poverty and increase the prosperity.

Imagine it as an orchestra, it won’t create a beautiful music and melody without the harmony of all the music instruments. Express your thoughts and innovations a a youth!

If there is a role from every side that has a real commitment, we believe this things will be visible soon. Youth with great potential is a big capital of the life quality improvements in the future.
